Please remember that bikes are not for everybody. It is the responsibility of the Veteran to ensure he secures and cares for a bike. We will not replace lost or stolen bikes. Read the rules on the bike assignment form. We are not a "FREE BIKE" organization, the Veteran must have a desire to enhance a healthy lifestyle through cycling. All bikes are the property of the AFF until one is bought for a Veteran through our Bikes for Troops program. If you arent riding the bike you signed out please return it for another Veteran. You must be an active AFF Alumni with a submitted DD Form 214 to apply for a bike.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT A BIKE:
We have formed a new relationship with Recycle Bikes for Kids. Located at 717 East 10th St in Little Rock. This is the first step for many to bike ownership. Ron King is the POC at Recycle Bikes and is reachable through their Facebook Page.
Due to the influx of Veterans in many of the special outreach programs, Recycle Bikes for Kids has agreed to help us help you. Veterans needing bikes to begin riding or as a way to get to work or the VA will sign up at the AFF Warriors connect tab on left. We will pass your name to Recycle Bike for Kids. The Veteran will work a minimum of 4 hours at Recycle Bikes. After that the veteran can pick out the bike he wants to get started on. If the Veteran progresses with bike riding and wants to continue riding, the bike goes back to Recycle Bikes and the AFF will upgrade in our normal process.
Download and complete these three forms and send with a copy of your DD Form 214.
