Bicycling is one of the most effective ways for injured servicemembers to recover and rehabilitate. At the Arkansas Freedom Fund (AFF), we are committed to helping veterans across the state get on the road to recovery through cycling. Many of these men and women have lived physically active lives and are eager to continue that lifestyle after their injuries. Our cycling program offers them the chance to get on a bike and prove to themselves, “I can still do this.”
Through our Bike for Troops program, we work to find bikes that meet each veteran’s specific needs based on their injury, encouraging them to stay active and strive toward their recovery goals. Whether it’s a traditional bike or an adaptive one, we aim to equip veterans with the tools they need to regain confidence and maintain an active lifestyle.
This program is one of our largest expenditures, and we rely on donations to make these dreams a reality for Arkansas veterans injured in the line of duty. Please consider donating so we can continue to provide the necessary equipment for each veteran who is ready to get active and stay healthy. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on their journey to recovery.

The Annual AFF Challenge Ride
The Annual Arkansas Freedom Fund (AFF) Challenge Ride is a 3-day event held in Little Rock, open to all AFF members. Hosted at the Holiday Inn Convention Center near the Little Rock Airport, the event features a fully supported 24-mile ride to Scott, AR, and back. The ride welcomes all types of bikes, including adapted recumbent bikes, hand cycles, road bikes, and mountain bikes, encouraging veterans of all abilities to ride together.
More than just a ride, this weekend is dedicated to facilitating veterans' healing, growth, and camaraderie as a team. Held every year during the second weekend of October, the AFF Challenge Ride offers veterans a chance to reconnect, recharge, and experience the powerful benefits of cycling in a supportive community. |
