AFF Board Member
If you have the leadership skills to help guide an organization, plan, coordinate, and execute the mission of the Arkansas Freedom Fund, then serving as a board member may be the perfect opportunity for you. Board positions rotate, with openings available each October. Consider this rewarding volunteer role and contribute to making a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans.

Treasurer
Seeking a detail-oriented Treasurer to oversee the financial operations of the Arkansas Freedom Fund. Responsibilities include managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in financial management or accounting and a passion for supporting veterans.

Assistant Bike Program Manager
Support the Bike Program Manager in assembling and distributing bikes to veterans. Responsibilities also include maintaining the AFF trailer and organizing the storage shed.

AFFNWA Ride Team Member
As a team member, you are required to participate in at least four organized USA Cycling or BikeReg events each year while wearing the AFF jersey. Examples of qualifying events include Square to Square and the Big Dam Bridge ride.

Fishing Chairman
Responsible for coordinating fishing equipment, securing donations, and organizing events and fishing trips for AFF members. The Fishing Chairman leads the annual "Fishing with Heroes" event at Lake Dardanelle and the John Pickell AFF Fishing Day in Heber Springs. Additionally, the role involves identifying opportunities for AFF members to participate in fishing events across the state.

The Golf Chairman also identifies opportunities for AFF members to participate in golf events throughout the state and ensures that all events run smoothly and successfully.

Separate from the regular golf program, this volunteer position focuses on organizing our fundraising golf scrambles, including the Freedom Scramble at Diamante and the Dave Elswick 9-11 Tournament at Cypress Creek. Responsibilities include securing event sponsors and donors for prizes. Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

As AFF continues to grow, we are seeking Regional Member Coordinators to serve as key points of contact for members in different areas of the state. Similar to peer support roles in other organizations, Regional Coordinators will help distribute important information to members and relay feedback to program chairmen. If you’re interested in playing an active role in supporting AFF’s mission and serving as a vital link for veterans in your region, consider becoming a point person for your area.
