Freedom Anglers getting Warriors active on the water.
The AFF Freedom Anglers Program is designed to help Arkansas Veterans get outdoors and get fishing. Working with local fishermen in Arkansas our Veterans get the opportunity get out of the house and out in a boat to enjoy a good day fishing. Either one on one or in a group setting we have the adventure designed to provide the best of Arkansas Lakes, rivers and outdoors. Rae Brown and Chris Short are the fishing co-Chairs.
We are working now on sign-out procedures. So get your Water Safety Course now. We also need a few dedicated boat captains to take our boat and a member out for the weekend. Contact Rae to get on the list.
If you are a member and looking to start fishing contact us if you need a pole. We have passed out over 100 poles to our members.
From The AFF there is two events we do each year. The Annual Free Fishing weekend in June where we go to Lake Dardanelle for the Bass Fishing with Heroes Tournament. Sign ups are required.
We have also teamed up with the United Methodist Men's Group from Heber Springs. They leads the Summer John Pickell Memorial Red River Fishing Day at Lobo Landing. Sign ups are needed for this highly sought opportunity.
